The Mint Chicks are made up of Kody Nielson, Ruban Nielson, Paul Roper, Michael Logie. The new album CRAZY? YES! DUMB? NO! was produced by Ruban & Kody Nielson, and mastered by the legendary Howie Weinberg (Nirvana NEVERMIND, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The White Stripes, Beastie Boys, Gorillaz) @ Masterdisk in NYC.

The bands debut album F*** THE GOLDEN YOUTH was released in 2004 to critical acclaim. ‘Post No Bills’ was one of John Peel’s most played songs of 2004 & The Mint Chicks were nominated for the Silver Scroll Award for their song “Opium Of The People” in 2005.

Their very first show was in Australia on tour with The White Stripes. The band have also supported TV On The Radio (in London), The Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, The International Noise Conspiracy…and for their headline shows in the UK The Mint Chicks were supported by The Subways! Contrary to their ‘indie only’ vibe the band supported Regurgitator on a huge pub tour of Australia at the end of last year to play to new crowds.

The band were invited to play at SXSW in 2005, causing a stir amongst the A&R worldwide and hitting the front page Of the Austin Chronicle in the process through an onstage fight with the headline band!
