The humble high school classroom has been the birthplace of countless bands, born from boredom and the bonds that only growing up together can bring. These Melbourne boys are now ready to prove it to the world with their debut record, Don't Sleep - a milestone that finally delivers on the promise made so many years ago, and shows the maturity that comes from so much hard work in between. Despite the cheeky humour of the band's early years, their career since has been anything but messing around, with high profile supports for bands like The Used, The Ataris and The Getaway Plan, as well as the release of two EP's, an AIR nomination, and headlining tours across the country. Don't Sleep is a heartfelt collection of songs born from the experience of being in a band; a coming of age story to the soundtrack of late nights, tour vans and airport lounges. With production by pop rock powerhouse Jimi Maroudas (Eskimo Joe, You Am I, Motor Ace) and mixed in the UK by Romesh Dodangoda (Funeral For A Friend, Glassjaw, Motorhead), the tracks on Don't Sleep hold true with this statement. Striking a delicate balance between the tender melodies of modern pop and the thunderous assault of stadium-ready rock, everything sounds absolutely huge and finely tuned.

Does one need to introduce the band known as Eddy Current Suppression Ring at this point in time? Perhaps not, but it should be noted that they remain one of the high points - if not THE highpoint - of Australian rock & roll in the past 5 years. 'So Many Things' is a collection of their many out-of-print singles and a few other rarities thrown in. That's 22 tracks, including versions of Aussie punk legends the Chosen Few's 'There's A Lot Of It Going Around' and The Go-Gos' 'We Got The Beat', and all of it possessing that distinctly Australian brand of Aussie garage punk ECSR has made their own. This is no mere odds & sods collection; for the band their 7" releases were just as important as their full-length LPs, so expect wall-to-wall high-energy quality throughout.
