At just under 20 minutes, 'E.P.' fills the void and vacuum of PACIFIC UV's former signature space with driving guitars, disgruntled electronics and remorseful lyrics. Pacific UV's sound pulls from both the future and the past. Singer/guitarist's HOWARD HUDSON's voice could easily be coming from the tinny radio of a 1955 concept car, and guitarist CLAY JORDAN manages to somehow utilize effects pedals that haven't been invented yet. Additional performances by LIZ DURRETT, JESSE FLAVIN (PHOSPHORESCENT) and STEVE SCARBOUROUGH (MASERATI) help turn E.P. into what could be the soundtrack for the more abrasive dreams of PHIL SPECTOR and/or JOE MEEK. Similar in style to The Flaming Lips and Sigur Ros and influenced by classic acts like Slowdive, Spiritualized, Galaxie 500 and My Bloody Valentine, Pacific UV mine a sound bestdescribed as dream pop or a lighter space rock. The band have previously worked with Andy LeMaster (Azure Ray, Bright Eyes) and DavidBarbe (Uncle Tupelo, Sugar, the Drive-By Truckers).
