Amazing new album from the Earlies, whose unique widescreen pop music combines layered vocals with imaginary and more traditional instruments and subtle electronics. Musically, they are united by a shared love of The Band, The Beach Boys, The Byrds and The Beatles, all who came through clearly on the debut. But listening habits change, and musical reference points this time around include krautrock legends Faust, prog-rock greats Gentle Giant, and the musique concrete of Jean-Claude Vannier.
