TINDERSTICKS have been on the scene for over 15 years now - 'Falling Down A Mountain', their eighth long-player, came together in two studios ('Le Chien Chanceux' in France and 'ICP' in Belgium) over three summer months in 2009. The good news is that this album sees the band getting their groove back on, not unlike the 2001 album 'Can Our Love'. Very much a group effort, the band return with an extended line up aided by the new ideas of fresh additions Earl Harvin and David Kitt, plus a rare guest vocal appearance by legendary Canadian singer Mary Margaret O'Hara (who released one beguiling album in the 80s and since rarely breaks cover). The impressive record shows a colourful side to Tindersticks: "With hindsight, The Hungry Saw now seems like an album made within the confines of what we knew; Falling Down A Mountain sees those boundaries become irrelevant."
