The Weakerthans come from Winnipeg, Manitoba, the geographic center of North America. Their deeply lyrical music speaks of the vast open spaces and broken industrial dreams in which it was created. Founded in 1997 by former Propagandhi bassist turned guitarist/frontman John K. Samson, The Weakerthans hold deep roots in the indie scene, with drummer Jason Tait also recording and touring as part of Toronto indie collective Broken Social Scene. On November 18, Anti/Epitaph Records are thrilled to be re-releasing two seminal albums by the band. For the first time the acclaimed band's catalogue has been united, as their classic albums Fallow (1997) and Left And Leaving (2000) join more recent Anti offerings including the critically heralded Reunion Tour, of which Paste magazine said "If such a prize existed, it would be the leading candidate for this year's Punk Pulitzer".

The objectives of German experimental rock and electronic music in the 1970s were to create a new music, 'free' from the past. Music for a generation who grew up stifled by the recent history of Nazi atrocities and the guilt of their parents' generation. The first seeds were planted in 1968, as students and workers in Paris, Prague, Mexico and around the world demonstrated against mainstream society, the war in Vietnam, imperialism and bourgeois values.

Josh Tillman (aka J Tillman) departed the FLEET FOXES as their drummer in 2011 to focus on his solo project under the moniker of FATHER JOHN MISTY. Despite releasing a number of solo albums under J Tillman - which saw him invited to tour with DAMIAN JURADO and JESSE SYKES, 'Fear Fun' is the debut album for Father John Misty. When discussing 'Father John Misty', Tillman paraphrases PHILIP ROTH:
