The Weakerthans come from Winnipeg, Manitoba, the geographic center of North America. Their deeply lyrical music speaks of the vast open spaces and broken industrial dreams in which it was created. Founded in 1997 by former Propagandhi bassist turned guitarist/frontman John K. Samson, The Weakerthans hold deep roots in the indie scene, with drummer Jason Tait also recording and touring as part of Toronto indie collective Broken Social Scene. On November 18, Anti/Epitaph Records are thrilled to be re-releasing two seminal albums by the band. For the first time the acclaimed band's catalogue has been united, as their classic albums Fallow (1997) and Left And Leaving (2000) join more recent Anti offerings including the critically heralded Reunion Tour, of which Paste magazine said "If such a prize existed, it would be the leading candidate for this year's Punk Pulitzer".
