![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Foot To The Floor Hardcore QP on 24.07.2011 The 2nd full length album from Cronulla DIY kings Throwdown continues with the foot to the floor hardcore sound they’ve become reknown for and is as good as any of their previous material to date. Things start off with the sound of the ocean before going full throttle into opening track ‘Shark Island’, which is about the world famous wave off Cronulla Point, and it’s a bloody beauty. Quite a few of the tracks have lyrics relating to the ocean/surfing which I totally relate to, but they also have lyrics which are about such topics as when Bevynn got interviewed about a murder, lost friends and being an underground band. They also included a cover of the Cro Mags classic ‘Hard Times’ and the Frenzal Rhomb-ish cover of Rolf Harris’ ‘Sydney Town’ complete with banjo and harp. This album shows a bit more diversity in the Throwdown sound, sure they haven’t strayed much from the proven formula (and they bloody well shouldn’t!) but it sounds like they’ve tried a few extra things with this rele |
