Frolic Architecture drops the listener into a soundworld that germinates wildly from this most multiple and heterogeneous of Howe's celebrated collage poems. For long stretches, it is impossible to separate Howe's real--time performance of her fragment--strewn text from Grubbs's further deformations, scatterings, and layerings. These aberrant vocalizations are placed in a landscape in which individual pitches pulse autonomously within thick chords: gravel and cicadas duet. There is no foreground, no background. Frolic Architecture is the most radical and abstract of Grubbs's and Howe's work together.

British dubstep producer ZOMBY came to prominence for his debut full length 'Where Were U in 92', which saw him invited by ANIMAL COLLECTIVE to play at the All Tomorrow's Parties festival they curated in 2011, and sign to benchmark UK label 4AD (THE NATIONAL, DEERHUNTER, BLONDE REDHEAD). 'Dedication' is a dark and absorbing album that runs between sparse electronics, techno hooks, minimal piano riffs, oh and a cheeky sample from a pop song by the winner of the Russian reality show Star Factory.

HAZARDS OF LOVE, THE

The Hazards of Love tells the tale of a woman named Margaret who is ravaged by a shape-shifting animal; her lover, William; a forest queen; and a cold-blooded, lascivious rake, who recounts with spine-tingling ease how he came "to be living so easy and free" in "The Rake's Song".
