'Garden Ruin' is the fifth album from Tuscon, Arizona's Calexico. It is the follow up to the critically acclaimed and the widely adored 'Feast Of Wire'. 'Garden Ruin' is a slight change in direction for Calexico. While the tex-mex sound of their past is still prevalent, on 'Garden Ruin' the songs are more stripped back and earthy. And good news for Calexico fans is that the songs are the best of Joey Burns and John Convertino's (Calexico) career!!!! The biggest influence on this album are acts Sufjan Stevens and Iron & Wine, who Calexico recently toured and collaborated with. Apart from Iron & Wine, Calexico feature heavily on the new Neko Case record and have worked in the past with Giant Sand, Nancy Sinatra, Laura Cantrell and Richard Buckner.
