Void Of Confusion (Vinyl)

$24.99 (AUD)

Featuring current and ex members of bands such as Hopeless, Iron Mind and Carpathian, the band has set the bar high amongst other current hardcore acts in Australia and is determined to leave their mark on the Australian Scene. Influenced by 80's and 90's Hardcore and Thrash metal, Warbrain was formed in early 2009 when Josh Manitta, Kain McWaters and Lloyd Carroll decided to do something different from other projects we had been involved in at the time. Natural progression for the band lead to Tim Carter and Neil Bloem joining shortly after the groups inception before going on to record their first official release. After spending the latter months of 2012 writing, Warbrain entered the studio again towards the end of the year to finally begin working on their first full length record. Drums for the album were recorded at Three Phase Studios in Melbourne with Sam Johnson who has worked with numerous Australian hardcore acts over the years including 50 Lions, Toe To Toe and Mindsnar

Start The Revolution Without Me

$19.99 (AUD)

2012 album from the Britpop band. Start The Revolution Without Me is a reworking of their UK album The Future Is Medieval and contains tracks not available on that release. The band worked with producers Tony Visconti (David Bowie, Iggy Pop, T. Rex), Ethan Johns (Kings of Leon, Ray LaMontagne, Emmylou Harris) and Owen Morris (Oasis, The Verve) as well as trying their hand at producing their own tracks with drummer/songwriter Nick Hodgson at the controls.

Wait To Pleasure

$22.99 (AUD)

Montreal's No Joy initially sounds like a shoegaze band (a very good one at that), but it isn't long before you can hear what's happening under the surface, a work that subverts the expectations of where a latter-day approach to that genre might be able to take the listener. On their second album (and first recorded in a fully-furnished studio) the band has flourished, delivering their finest set to date, rooted heavily in shoegaze ripcurls and devastating melody, finishing sentences whispered long ago with depth, variance and force.
