Rumours that a fresh-faced pop mega-beast was emerging from Cardiff fi rst began to surface early in the Summer of 2006. Formed in 2005 at Cardiff University (where the band members still study) amidst a blaze of enthusiasm, friendship, chance acquaintances, and the desire to craft damn good pop music Los Campesinos! were from the outset, a happy union. Wholly detached from any obvious London-centric 'scene', Team Campesinos! was now complete and cooking on gas. Recorded by Broken Social Scene producer David Newfeld, "Hold on Now, Youngster" is the debut album from Los Campesinos.
