2006 marks the 40th anniversary of John Fahey’s signing to Vanguard Records and the 5th anniversary of his death. I AM THE RESURRECTION: A TRIBUTE TO JOHN FAHEY pays homage to the late acoustic guitar legend. Produced by M. Ward, this compilation features re-imagined tracks by some of indie-rock’s best singer-songwriters including Sufjan Stevens, Sonic Youth’s Lee Ranaldo, Devendra Banhart, Howe Gelb, Grandaddy and Calexico amongst others.
