Last Battles is the anticipated debut album from Perth based indie rock favourites Russian Winters. Recorded at Blackbird Studios with Dave Parkin (Jebediah, Sons of Rico, Snowman), the album's first single 'Pacific', has been described as "poetically forceful . . . a possible summer anthem" (Drum Media Single of the Week) and a tune that "just keeps giving and giving. Awesome stuff." (Dom Alessio Triple J). With this full length release, Russian Winters emerge from a period of rebirth to prove a dark horse of the Australian indie rock scene. A trip through shoegaze pop and distorted rock harmonies, Last Battles explores a rich vein of melancholy with grandly soaring guitars, fluid rhythms and "one of the more powerful uses of a horn section of late."
