2011 has been a whirlwind year for Tessa & The Typecast. Hand picked by Kate Nash to support her in Australia after receiving heaps of Triple J love, the band finally knuckled down in the studio with the Brian Jonestown Massacre's Ricky Maymi co-producing to record their debut EP 'Lemons'. With Academy Award winner Leo Baker filming and producing a video for the EP's lead track 'Painter' and a number of festival appearances lined up, this release finally gives fans a record that captures the beguiling and intoxicating indie pop of the band.
