Boasting never before seen footage of a concert at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, this performance was Nirvana's first big homecoming show after releasing Nevermind and their last American show before leaving for a European tour. It was recorded Halloween night 1991 one month after the release of Nevermind, on the cusp on Nevermind achieving 'Gold' accreditation in the US. The Paramount concert, transferred from 16mm film and multi-track audio, is the only known Nirvana concert shot to film. This remarkable time capsule is now available for the very first time.

Out of sync

Mike on 31.10.2011

As unfortunate as it is, Universal managed to make some kind of authoring blunder which has messed up the audio and video synchronisation of this blu-ray. After adjusting settings on my player and television set I've seen it myself - and if you google "nirvana paramount sync" you'll find that a lot of people have the same complaint. While I do not own the DVD version, it has been confirmed that the DVD version is correct, so buy that instead. A huge disappointment for me as a Nirvana fan. This release would get a 5 star review from me if the sync wasn't messed up.
