Strange Boys' third album 'Live Music' (as in, living the music), the follow-up to 'The Strange Boys' and Girls' Club (2009) and 'Be Brave' (2010). Half of 'Live Music' was recorded in April 2011 at the Austin home of producer/Spoon drummer Jim Eno. The second half was recorded in December 2010 at producer Mike McHugh's Distillery, the same studio that 'Be Brave' was recorded in. The Strange Boys are an American rock 'n' roll band based in Austin, Texas, who offering up a garage rock, punk and old school R&B tinged slobbering feast of sounds. The core of the band features brothers Ryan Sambol (vocals, guitar, harmonica, piano) and Phillip Sambol (bass), Greg Enlow (guitar) and Mike La Franchi (drums). Jenna Thornhill-DeWitt (Mika Miko) and Tim Presley (White Fence) contributed saxophone and guitar respectively, with both adding vocals on various tracks.
