Second album by Auckland's incredible garage-punk/girlgroup noise-DIY monsters The Coolies is quite a brilliant, raw lo-?, monumental trip. Somewhat of a buzz-band in their hometown, they have won over a wider reaching audience through past tours of the US and Australia. This is DIY slop-pop in the grand tradition of Rough Tradecirca 1979 (think Raincoats/Swell Maps) mixed with a new/ old attitude to underground post-punk noise, somewhat like a Shangri-La's and Crass tea party.
