Celebration's self-titled debut album, released at the end of 2005, was a blast of white hot, ecstatic energy - raw, exhilarating and furiously focused. The band - a Baltimore-based three piece comprised of Katrina Ford (vocals), David Bergander (drums) and Sean Antanaitis (everything else) - have spent most of the last two years on the road, touring with the likes of TV On The Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Blood Brothers. 'The Modern Tribe', produced by TVOTR's David Sitek and Blonde Redhead's Chris Coady, is the new album of sublime colours, rich textures and glorious, ascending melody. There are dense grooves, full-throated classics, swooning moments and even the odd cosmic chant.
