Melbourne based street punk band Slick 46 release their new CD 'Move Aside'. Eight tracks of unashamedly old school punk rock that hits you like a kick in the teeth. Title track "Move Aside" sets the theme, with songs dealing with issues affecting the average working class guy. "Start toEnd", "Spotlight" and "Busride" are highlights, while "Wake Up" sticks it to the Christian fundamentalists. Slick 46's influences are apparent on this EP, while still retaining their own sound.

They were spotted completely by random by top DJ/ producer/ composer David Holmes while he was out for a pint. Holmes grabbed them as they came offstage and offered to produce their album. He then called Simon Raymonde of Bella Union, who agreed to put the record out. |
