The Moving Frontier is as perfect a title as any to attempt to do justice to Pram's waking-but-still-dreaming musical adventure. Pram are a five piece band from Birmingham and have been subverting what we know as "pop music" for nigh on 13 years, always managing to stay fresh and ahead of their contemporaries. To say Pram have always ploughed their own furrow is to underestimate the breadth and scale of their music; this album shows a band who have learned to play together while teaching each other a whole new language. 'The Moving Frontier' is Pram at their most widescreen and cinematic. They've created another mysterious and wonderful landscape of dreamy and delicate dark electro-pop and fans of Saint Etienne, Stereolab, Tindersticks and Broadcast will love this album as much as their excellent previous releases.
