The new EP from The Zebras 'New Ways of Risking Our Lives' marks the first release since the band defected like dirty rats from Brisbane to Melbourne in early 2007. Born out of a combination of nostalgia and guilt, the songs are based on a loose collection of thoughts and romanticised memories of living in the deep, deeeep North. The songs display even more of the band's penchant for chiming guitar-domination and vocal harmony while the application of new tequila-inspired production techniques give the performance a more uninhibited feel than before.
