Formed in early '78, Punk/New Wave group The Ruts quickly proved an incendiary live outfit with a leftist political agenda. Championed by the likes of DJ John Peel, they released an cracking LP in 1979 and were in the midst of a run of six excellent singles when a tragic death brought this line-up to a close. This 2CD collection brings together classic album tracks, demos, alternate versions and some great live performances that really captured this short-lived group's visceral appeal.
