Friends since childhood, the band grew up at the same creatively fertile Northern Beaches high school attended by Angus & Julia Stone, members of The Beautiful Girls, The Fumes, Wolfmother and Mercy Arms. Tokenview's formidable live reputation, spearheaded by double-drum percussion freakouts and the 60s-esque harmonies of dual singers Brett Clemenson and Ed Prescott, has seen them invited to support acts as varied as Foo Fighters, Birds of Tokyo, Dappled Cities, The Mess Hall, Bertie Blackman and countless others.
