Inner City Unit were Hawkwind founder, Nik Turner's response to the punk scene, a hard edged band that manged to update Hawkwind's space rock sound for the new wave audience, who responded favourably to ICU's various releases in the early 80's. This album, the band's third, is a compilation of various odds and ends offering demos, alternate versions and unreleased tracks. Given the highly idiosyncratic nature of the band this selection is highly enjoyable and show a talented and diverse band that mixes new-wave, prog and even disco into their space-rock.
