Los Angeles Wunderkind FLYING LOTUS makes his Warp debut with a distinctively off-kilter fusion of dark electronic soul, rough psych rock, far-flung dancefloor jams & plenty bass. Much has been made of his COLTRANE and DILLA Connections, but 'Reset' serves as both a proper introduction & a tantalizing peek of what to expect from his upcoming Warp full-length next year. Lotus is an achingly natural, imaginative and prolific musician, traits somewhat unsurprising when you consider his LA upbringing as part of the Coltrane family (Alice was his aunt). With a style of production and songwriting which oozes freshness these 6 tracks have been causing a flurry of excitement ever since they touched down within the confines of the Inertia office.
