Glaswegian indie super-group The Royal We present their splendid self-titled debut baby album, via Domino's imprint label Geographic! The Royal We are six young dreamers who came together as part of an evolving collective in early 2006 under inevitable Glasgow rain to plot and hang out in cafes as if in a Godard movie. It wasn't long before talk of The Royal We spread south, prompting the usual A&R frenzy and press to start singing their praise. This was aided by the fact members began turning up on Belle & Sebastian and Franz Ferdinand covers and some shows with Franz too. Encapsulating their staggered, sassy, glam-on-the-cheap swagger, 'The Royal We' is the perfect indie-pop moment. Eight action-packed and ridiculously fun tracks (including 'All The Rage' and a ripping cover of Chris Isaac's 'Wicked Game'), this is the album you're looking for if you're over rock posturing and just want to dance all night with your friends!
