Autumn 1991 saw a wealth of excitement for the indie set. Nevermind was quietly munching its way across the planet, Teenage Fanclub released Bandwagonesque, Saint Etienne launched Foxbase Alpha but amongst all this, Primal Scream released Screamadelica.. and forever altered and redefined the musical landscape with the first acid house-influenced rock record. The 20th Anniversary 2CD Edition includes the original album on disc one and the long out of print 'Dixie Narco EP' on disc two. The original album has been remastered at Metropolis Studios by John Davis, Bobby Gillespie & Andrew Innes. The 'Dixie Narco' EP is the only official Primal Scream release to include the song 'Screamadelica' which was not included on the original album. 2CD in a gatefold digipack.

Aldous Huxley's final novel, Island, told the story of a journalist shipwrecked on a fictional island called Pala, where the man runs into what is essentially a utopian society. Also during his time there, he encounters parrots that whisper words of encouragement to him and others. Apparently those birds are the inspiration behind Friendly Fires naming their sophomore album Pala. - Andrew Martin
