As a founding member of Sonic Youth, Ranaldo has enjoyed critical success, and was named in 2004 by ROLLING STONE as the number 34th 'Greatest Guitarist of All Time'. He has also collaborated extensively with artists including WILLIAM HOOKER, MMMR, NEW LIFE AFTER FIRE and FOUR GUITARS LIVE. The line-up of musicians working alongside Lee on the album is likely to push a lot of people's buttons: Nels Cline from WILCO lends extra guitar support, keyboards come courtesy of John Medeski (MEDESKI, MARTIN & WOOD), the drum stool is occupied by Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth, with additional percussion from Bob Bert (PUSSY GALORE, CHROME CRANKS) and Jim O'Rourke is also along for the ride. |
