A dark and dramatic album, with equal shades of aching beauty, lightness and keen melodies, this album has floored us at the Fuse offices and shows her to be a unique and gifted songwriter with a soaring set of pipes. Confessional in style, she can be compared to the likes of Carole King, Judee Sill or even Antony and the Johnsons, though her delivery is so eclectic that comparisons are beside the point.
