After years in the underground punk/hardcore scene, AFI released a record - "Sing The Sorrow" - that is seen by many as one of the most influential records to come out of that era. With trademark anthems like "Dancing Through Sunday" and "Death Of Seasons" as well as the singles that caught the mainstream's attention in "The Leaving Song part 2" and "Girls Not Grey" it's easy to see why this album is held in such high regard. Entering the US charts in the top five - an amazing achievement for a punk band - AFI's success can all be attributed to the hard work that resulted in "Sing The Sorrow"
