Domino's electro-exotica jewel PRAM present their sixth studio release Somniloquy - a mini-album or EP of sorts with new tracks and five exclusive remixes from top UK boffins. After wrapping their European tour in support of The Museum Of Imaginary Animals in 2000, the Birmingham seven piece headed straight back into the studio and 'Somniloquy' is the result of those sessions. The band ended up recording another three new songs and lending some of their back catalogue to a list of their favourite remixers and friends - step up Andy Votel (of Manchester's Twisted Nerve Records),Plone (Warp Records) and the inimitable Terry Funken (free thinker, free spirit..renaissance man) - shaken and stirred but never battered or bruised, the tracks are fully formed alternate versions. The end result has 'Mother Of Pearl' from Museum but is much more than just a companion piece to that album; it's a stand-alone release that captures the essence of their improvisational exotica; given a healthy dose of attitude from the collaborators/remixers.
