Having just issued the bits n bobs album 'Accumulation:None', Bill Callahan throws out album number 12 which - much like 'Rain On Lens' - lightens up on the misery but still aims straight for the heart: yet perhaps this is the wrong analogy as Bill Callahan is much to pessimistic to believe in anything like LOVE. Maybe love songs for the emotionally impaired? Musically back to the very quiet days of old (seems he's gladly forgotten the glam-rock experiment of 'Knock Knock'), and he still seems to be as vocally lazy as ever: the only singer I know who can make 3 words sound like a whole sentence.
