The Exchange Session Vol 1 is a unique electronic and drums collaboration between Kieran Hebden (Four Tet, Fridge) and drumming legend Steve Reid. Steve Reid is the legendary drummer who played on Martha and the Vandellas' 'Dancing in the Street'. He subsequently went on to play with (amongst others) Miles Davis, Fela Kuti and James Brown. - Kieran Hebden cuts his Four Tet albums at The Exchange Studios and this venue in Camden became the setting for the recording session. - Created on the spur of the moment in just one day, the results of The Exchange Session Vol. 1 are truly special. Three tracks that clock in at 35 minutes in total, this album weaves purely creative and dynamic musical tales and was hailed as an improvisational masterpiece when first released in early 2006.
