The Scene Is Now were a New York band that featured Will Rigby from The dBs, Tony Maimone from Pere Ubu and members of various downtown NYC No Wave outfits. TSIN's musical approach was, given the pedigree, surprisingly accessible. Compared to the likes of The Feelies & Meat Puppets, TSIN enjoy high-profile fans such as Sonic Youth and Yo La Tengo and their off-kilter avant-pop can be heard in both bands.
