'Tout Seul Dans La Foret En Plein Jour, Avez-Vous Peur?' is the second album by French-Canadian performer Woelv (pronounced Werlv), aka Genevieve Castr e. In English, its title means 'All Alone In The Forest In Broad Daylight, Are You Scared?'. Recorded at Dub Narcotic Studios in Olympia, Washington (run by K Records founder Calvin Johnston), 'Tout Seul...' was made by Castree and her husband Phil Elverum, who also records for K under the names Mt Eerie and The Microphones. It's an album of fractured experimental folk music, full of anguish at the woesof the world but possessed by a kind of fiery determination. Australian edition includes an exclusive bonus track, plus an album of astoundingfull-page drawings by Castr e, who is also an internationally acclaimed visual artist with a background in self-produced comic art.
