The Trail of Genghis Khan is the story of Tim Cope's epic solo journey on horseback from Mongolia to Hungary. Moved by Tim's story, Lisa invited Cye to collaborate with her and together they created the evocative, minimalist pieces found throughout the series. Immersing themselves in the spirit of these lands and its peoples, they combine disarmingly simple musical forms with location recordings Tim captured on his journey. These layered soundscapes conjure a place beyond language and time, and provide the foundation for Lisa (vocals) and Cye (violin) to interweave their truly unique voices into a rich, haunting tapestry of immeasurable beauty and sorrow.

For the past seventeen years front man Chris Conley has been bearing his soul and reinventing his musical identity with each successive step, a process that is clearly culminating with Saves The Day's seventh full-length Daybreak. The third part of a trilogy sees Conley moving past the anger and frustration that has defined the band's last two albums and rediscovering a sense of wonder with the world that he can't wait to share with his listeners.
