Formerly known as DANIMALS and then DJANIMALS, JONTI is the first Australian artist to sign to US label STONES THROW (ALOE BLACC, ARABIAN PRINCE), and MISTLETONE's (PANDA BEAR, BEACH HOUSE) first Sydney artist. In the past year, through different projects, Jonti has recorded with MARK RONSON, SANTIGOLD, SEAN LENNON & THE DAP-KINGS, and producer JOHN ANGELLO (SONIC YOUTH, DINOSAUR JR, KURT VILE). Despite his impressive array of collaborations, ironically, for Jonti's solo album, he decided to purposely go the opposite route, doing everything himself, start to finish. This ultra-talented producer's incredible debut 'Twirligig' draws inspiration from many of Jonti's favourite artists: MADLIB, STEREOLAB, FREE DESIGN and THE BEACH BOYS, creating organic, sun-bleached sounds which evoke summer and dreamy adventures.
