In January of 2010, Veara entered Wade Studios in Florida to record What We Left Behind, With Mckinnon in the producer's chair and Andrew Wade mixing. Looking for a partner to release the record, Mckinnon and Woodard contacted Epitaph's Brett Gurewitz, who was immediately interested and inked a deal to release the album. Already championed by readers on popular music site Absolutepunk.net, Veara's explosive edgy pop-punk riffs and catchy hook driven choruses have made them one of the year's most promising breakout bands.
