After running wild on 2009's Van's Warped Tour and infuriating the press with their foul-mouthed mixture of screamo and hip-hop, the band everyone loves to hate has returned with their middle fingers in the air on their sophomore effort 'Will Never Die'. That is, everyone aside from their legion of obsessed fans who catapult the crunkcore group into the national spotlight in 2009 with the debut album 'I'm Not A Fan, But The Kids Like It'. Like their last album, this new effort finds the band once again mixing club jams with youthful, auto-tuned rage to create something that sounds like a combination of Akon, Lil Jon, and screamo. This combination creates something that's party music in almost its purest form, daring the listener to cut loose with thumping club anthems about the dangers of drinking too much Grey Goose vodka, egging listeners on as much as it cautions them. The album hits a high point (no pun intended) on the track 'High Timez'. Featuring Daddy X of spiritual ancestors the Kottonmouth Kings, the song takes a step away from the club banger sound in favor of a blunted-out reggae-rap groove that comes together to make a surprisingly catchy anthem. Will Never Die delivers more of the pounding club jams that drew fans in to them in the first place, repeating the formula of their first album to give you more of what you love.
