Oh Land - Wish Bone Danish alterna-pop chanteuse Oh Land, a.k.a. Nanna Oland Fabricius releases her new album "Wish Bone".

On Wish Bone, Oh Land’s approach to songwriting was grounded in her hunger to be present in her immediate surroundings, accepting the limitations of reality rather than creating an idealized fantasy world. Spending time writing in Los Angeles and New York, Oh Land found inspiration in the limits of her own physicality (a disciplined ballet dancer, her career was sidelined by a crippling back injury) and found freedom within those restrictions.

For the recording of the album, Oh Land collaborated with Dave Sitek, holing up in his studio in Los Angeles and allowing the process to reflect the spontaneity of everyday life. "The collaboration was very intuitive," explains Oh Land. ""We didn’t plan what we wanted to do, we just pressed record and played a million different instruments. We were both eager for the songs to sound likes the lives we were living at the time, so we kept some of

Fittingly, the album was recorded using analog equipment and features brass horns, harp, and even a choir all recorded live. The result is Oh Land’s most raw and immediate album yet.

"Wish Bone" is the long-awaited follow up to Oh Land’s 2011 self-titled album that garnered overwhelming acclaim.

Interiors

The follow up to 2010's critically acclaimed debut Ring, Interiors was produced by Glasser and Van Rivers (Fever Ray, Blonde Redhead), and is a much more considered, confident, and sharply personal album than its predecessor. In the three years since Glasser released her breakout debut album Ring, she has toured around the world (with Jonsi of Sigur Ros, The XX, Delorean, and others) and left her California home for New York City. The collapsing of California's dreamy, empty expanse for that of New York City's frenetic, tightly-knit landscapes set off a new trajectory of exploration for Glasser, one that focused on the definition of space, both outside and in. This tension between the interior and the exterior sets the tone for Interiors. In architect Rem Koolhaas' book Delirious New York, which Glasser credits as an inspiration, the author suggests that New York's massive, stoic-faced buildings are monuments rife with secrets. Interiors is Glasser's attempt to exorcise and address som

Re-mit

$25.99 (AUD)

The forthcoming 30th album from the English post-punk icons The Fall.Re-Mit is naturally a progression from 2011's very well received Ersatz GB. The line-up here remains the same as that outing, so Re-Mit is awash in heavy bass and drum led grooves, off kilter modern psych and tense guitar pop, and features yet more of Mark E. Smith's incredibly arresting delivery and wordsmithery.
