Charli Xcx - You're The One Ep A bold claim, but if there's anyone whose fingers are best placed to hit CTRL-ALT-DEL on pop, it's Charli XCX. Believe all you read about breaths of fresh air and you'd half expect a force ten gale to be blowing through the music industry but here, we have the real deal: a singer songwriter liberated from the acoustic guitar fixation that preoccupies so many; a teenage popstar with a good head on her shoulders and a sharp mind in her head. The first Australian release for Charli XCX is the 'You're The One' EP. It features tracks 'You're The One', 'Nuclear Seasons', 'Stay Away' and 3 remixes. Charli XCX's new single 'Stay Away,' draws inspiration from the T'Pau, 1980s one-hit wonder "Heart and Soul", the track with its synths pulse and gothic fervour, Charli effortlessly toggles between careful restraint and operatic emotionalism. 'You're The One,' is a dark and dreamy love song, it will feature on her as-yet-untitled debut album which she is working and collaborating with Ariel Rechtsh

In 2011, Neil and Amanda, recently married, decided to tour the West Coast, and perform together for six nights doing what they did best (reading and singing respectively), to meet each other's fans and answer questions from the audience. Requests for the shows to be recorded resulted in their first crowdfunding experiment. They went to Kickstarter to raise the money, made 666% more than they asked for, and so were able, in Spring 2012, to released a 3 CD set, bonus CDs and digital material to their 3873 backers. The material has never been available to the general public. “The Evening With Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer tour we did in 2011 was whatever happens when Amanda and I get together on a stage for two hours.
