The biggest selling comedy recording artist of all time, has returned with Alpocalypse, his first full-length studio album in nearly five years. With over 2 million followers on Twitter and following his sold out Australian tour of capital cities and best selling childrensbook release "When I Grow Up?, Al drops the first single from Alpocalypse, the Lady Gaga parody "Perform This Way". The song has Lady Gaga?s full approval and blessing. Alpocalypse also features parodies of Miley Cyrus ("Party In The CIA"), Taylor Swift ("TMZ") and B.o.B Featuring Bruno Mars ("Another Tattoo"). The album?s requisite polka medley -"Polka Face" -features accordion-driven versions of songs by the biggest artists of the day, including Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, Britney Spears, P!nk, Lady Antebellum and Katy Perry. Alpocalypse is something to behold

Arj on 25.06.2011

Putting aside the cover, which has to be some of the best cover art of any album, this album is perhaps one of Weird Al's best. While the deluxe version is missing Perform This Way from the dvd section, what is has is fantastic. Internet Leaks has meant we have heard 5 of the tracks before, with Ringtone (Queen style parody) the highlight. Rewriting Jay-Z song was on to silencer was on sums up the brilliant "Party in the CIA (cover of Party in the USA)" perfectly, while the Hanson-style song "If this isn't love" is possibly Weird Al's best love song to date. Beautiful musically and hilarious lyrics. Check it out
