Dylan's legendary eclectic taste and vast musical knowledge touches all bases. Artists as diverse James Brown, Harry Nilsson, the Dirtbombs, Loretta Lynn, Dionne Warwick, Swamp Dogg, Miriam Makeba, Edith Piaf, Huey 'Piano' Smith, Sun Ra, Desmond Dekker, the Sherman Williams Orchestra, Charlie Feathers, Los Lobos, Laura Lee, Captain Beefheart, The Honey Bears and many others sit happily side by side on this highly eclectic collection. Similarly packaged to Volume 1, this CD features a deluxe colour booklet (packaged inside a slip case) with track-by-track notes by luminaries including Al Kooper, Jerry Dammers, Fred Dellar, Charlie Gillett, Mark Lamarr and many, many more. Long-time friend of Ace Billy Bragg contributes the introduction. The double CD has a mini-booklet inside with just the track listing and credits for the quick guide for listeners to see the contents.
