Originally released in 1999 'Amsterdam Breakfast' was the first of only two albums released by James Blundell over the 10 year period between 1996 - 2005. Inspired by his time spent busking and travelling throughout Europe in the late 1990s the album was the first of Blundell's to move away from his distinctively country roots. The CD features the radio single 'A Very Good Song' (also included on the 'Definitive Collection 1988 -2008' DVD ) and 'Dylan, Diana & God' which was showcased to the nation during the live telecast of the 'Tour Of Duty' concert from East Timor's Dili Stadium in December 1999.
