The kind of country that The Wildes play is a million miles from the homogenized, super-slick commercial stuff you hear comingout of Nashville (and even Tamworth). They have a far more blues - and - roots take on the genre, which is perhaps why they are able to win over so many fans that otherwise claim to "hate country music". In actual fact The Wildes don't just win them over, instead they tend to whip them into a frenzy of unadulterated whooping and hollering such as you might expect to see and hear in some Pentecostal church in the proverbial 'deep south'.
