Recorded in Nashville and produced by Steve Earle, this 10-track album features an allacoustic band consisting of Tim O'Brien, Darrell Scott, Viktor Krauss, Kenny Malone and Steve Earle. This is Joan Baez's first studio album for 5 years and follows her acclaimed 2005 live album Bowery Songs. It continues her role as a musical curator and interpreter of songs and includes material by Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, Patty Griffin and Earle himself.
