Somewhere in the Blue Mountains, just outside Sydney, lives Aidan Roberts, the 28 year old primary songwriter, single and instrumentalist for his pet folk-rock project, The Maple Trail. Also guitarist in Blues Mountains folk quartet Bells Will Ring, The Maple Trail is something of a personal odyssey for Aidan. A musical journey that has traversed the ravines of Sydney's metropolitan limits and rearticulated itself across hundreds of hours of tape and performances. Aidan and his consort of harmonium, accordion, saxophone and mandolin-touting friends are ready to present their first full-length release.
