Face to Face is more than just the last album that John Lee Hooker recordedbefore his death in June 2001; it's also a fitting testament and tribute to the blueslegend. For most of the world, Hooker was the voice of the blues, and on Face toFace, some of his most famous fans join him for a proper, stomping Delta boogiesession. Guests include Van Morrison, Johnny Winter and George Thorogood (who playsguitar on several tracks). Hooker's own daughter, Zakiya - proves herself anaccomplished singer and songwriter on a number of the tracks here (even takinga lead vocal alongside her father on 'Mean Mean World').
