After the enormous success of his self-titled debut, Adam Brand was faced with the challenge of beating it. In December 1999 he emerged from Studios 301 in Sydney with a smile on his face and an album called Good Friends under his arm. The new album was laden with hits: Good Friends, Good Things In Life, Beating Around The Bush and I Did What? It won three Golden Guitars in 2001 ... Album Of The Year, Male Artist Of the Year and Song Of The Year.Get Loud marked a change in direction for Adam. It was a little edgier ... songs like Get Loud and She's Country really hit with ute driving, Bundy drinking B&S crowd... but it also appealed to his traditional audience (who were initially a little frightened by the album title) with songs like This Time Of Year and That Changes Everything.
